Looking for a new organization to volunteer with? Well look no further! We host a variety of events that protect, support, and promote Kalkaska County natural resources.

Our major events include:

  • Household hazardous waste collection day
  • Soil health field day
  • Spring seedling tree sale
  • Manistee River clean-up paddles
  • Adopt-a-Highway clean-up days
  • National Trails Day Celebration

Ongoing projects include:

  • North Country Trail maintenance
  • Rugg Pond dam maintenance
  • Surveying Kalkaska County for invasive species
  • KART tree planting
  • Education programs with Kalkaska Public Library and Schools

If you are unable to volunteer with us but still want to help, you may want to consider a monetary donation. We are always looking for funds to work on additional projects like trail building, interpretive signs, erosion control projects, and water quality monitoring.
