  • Kalkaska Conservation District 406 South Cedar Street, Ste A Kalkaska, MI, 49646 United States (map)

Help protect the waters you love by becoming a MI Paddle Steward.

During this one-hour online course you will learn the basics of invasive species identification and reporting. Following this course we encourage you to attend on of the on water sessions to put what you learned in the classroom to use out on the water.

We are offering three on-water sessions that compliment the virtual training:

July 28th | 5:30-7:30 PM | Crooked River Paddle

July 29th | 9 – 11 AM | Torch River Paddle

July 30th | 9 – 11 AM | Walloon Lake Paddle

After the training, the Kalkaska Conservation District invites those confident in their skills to help survey the Manistee River in early detection and rapid response for any invasive species. Interested parties should contact the KCD at 231-258-3307 for a section to survey.

Virtual Training Links and specific paddle locations will be emailed to participants after registration. We look forward to seeing you in the classroom (virtually) and out on the water! If you have any questions feel free to contact us at events@paddlenantrim.com or 231-498-2080.
