Native Seed Collection

Join us on September 24th for a celebration of National Public Lands Day!

We’d like to invite you with us to spend some time outdoors, on a beautiful fall morning, to collect native seeds on public land. All collected seeds will processed in October and added into the Kalkaska Public Library “Seed Library”.

Please meet at the District Office at 10:30am where we can depart and carpool to the collection spot. Long pants, closed toes shoes, and dressing for the weather are highly recommended. Collection equipment, water, and snacks will be provided.
