Manistee River Sampling

  • Kalkaska Conservation District 406 South Cedar Street, Suite A Kalkaska, MI 49646 USA (map)

Help us sample the Manistee River!

This event is part of an ongoing series of “MiCorp Stream Sampling” and a partnership between the Au Sable Insitute of Environmental Studies and the Kalkaska Conservation District. Every spring and fall we visit at least 4 sites on the Upper Manistee River and its tributaries.

We need you to help us count and collect bugs!!! No previous experience is required. Children are welcome, but this event is best suited for ages 10 and up. All equipment is provided & waders are available upon request at least 48 hours in advance. Not everyone will need to get in the water. We will need dedicated stream-side helpers too!

Lunch will be provided post-collection for all volunteers. Call Renee today to sign up at (231)258-3307 or fill out your name in the form below.
